Samantha Ramirez, NP-C

Samantha Ramirez, NP-C, currently serves as a nurse practitioner within the Liver Transplant Program at Keck Medicine of USC, where she plays a key role in patient care, transplant coordination, and programmatic quality initiatives. Prior to joining Keck Medicine, she accumulated nearly a decade of clinical nursing experience at UCLA Health, where she developed a strong foundation in patient management, perioperative care, and hepatology-related practice environments. Ramirez holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Healthcare Leadership, Systems, and Policy from Yale University, and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from UCLA (2019). In her current capacity, she is involved in comprehensive pre- and post-transplant patient assessment, multidisciplinary care coordination, and translational efforts to improve outcomes in liver transplant populations. Ramirez also presents nationally on the evolving role of transplant coordination and advocates for optimization of processes that enhance patient access, safety, and satisfaction.
